How do I install Quicken 98, 2000, or 2001 for Windows from a CD-ROM?

1. Make sure that no other applications are open. Look at the Windows taskbar. If it displays applications other than the Start menu, click each one (save any work) and then exit. Also, disable any virus protection software.
2. Insert the Quicken CD -ROM. The Quicken setup program should run automatically. If it doesn't, from the Start menu, choose Run, and then Browse to open the install program on your Quicken CD-ROM. Select Install, Open, and then OK.
3. Click the Quicken box on the screen.
4. Read the license agreement and click Yes to accept it.
5. Click Next to install Quicken in its destination folder. To install Quicken in a different directory, type the new path in the Destination Folder field or click the Browse button and select the directory you want.
6. Click Yes to have Setup create a folder for you.
7. Select Express (recommended) to install the most-used features. (Select Custom if you want to choose features to install.) Click Next. If you chose Custom in the Type of Installation section, the Installer now asks you to select the features to install. Select the checkboxes next to the features you want.
8. Click Start Copying. Click Finish to restart your computer and complete the installation process.
