Quicken 2000 
How do I resolve the following error
message? "Internet Explorer is unable to load page...".
To resolve this error, go through the following two procedures;
Start with Procedure A, and if that does not resolve the issue, proceed to Procedure B.
Please note, Procedure B requires a Windows 95 CD-ROM installation disc (or floppy disk
set).
Procedure A
- From the Programs Group on the Windows Start menu, Select Windows Explorer. This will
open the Windows Explorer window.
- In the Windows Explorer, double-click the Ws2bakup file.
- Double-click the Ws2bakup.bat file.
- When the Ws2bakup.bat file finishes running, restart the computer.
Procedure B
Note:
A Windows 95 CD-ROM disc (or floppy disk set) is needed for this procedure. Do not begin
this procedure unless a Windows 95 CD-ROM installation disc (or complete floppy disk set)
is on hand.
- Copy the following files from the ws2bakup folder on the computer's hard disk to the
System folder inside the Windows folder on the computer's hard disk:
* All files with the .vxd file extension
* All files with the .dll file extension
* All files with the .386 file extension
- Copy all files with the .exe file extension from the ws2bakup folder on the computer's
hard disk to the Windows folder on the computer's hard disk.
Note:
For specific instructions on file copying, see "Copying a file or folder" in the
Windows Help on your computer.
- Remove Dial-Up Networking. To do this:
a. Point to Settings on the Windows Start menu, and choose Control Panel. This opens the
Control Panel window.
b. In the Control Panel window, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. This opens the
Add/Remove Programs Properties window.
c. Click the Windows Setup tab.
d. Select (highlight) Communications, and click the Details button.
e. Click to remove the tick box from Dial-Up Networking, then click OK. This will close
the Communications Detail window.
f. In the Add/Remove Programs Properties window, click Apply, then click OK.
g. Dial-Up Networking is now removed, and it is not necessary to restart the computer for
this change to take effect.
- Reinstall Dial-Up Networking. To do this:
a. Point to Settings on the Windows Start menu, and choose Control Panel. This opens the
Control Panel window.
b. In the Control Panel window, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. This opens the
Add/Remove Programs Properties window.
c. Click the Windows Setup tab.
d. Select (highlight) Communications, and click the Details button.
e. Click to place a check mark in Dial-Up Networking, then click OK. This will close the
Communications Detail window.
f. In the Add/Remove Programs Properties window, click Apply, then click OK.
g. Insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM installation disc (or floppy disk) when prompted.
h. Click No to a series of dialogue boxes that will appear saying there is a version
conflict.
- Make sure Dial-Up Adapter, TCP/IP, and Client for Microsoft Network are installed from
the Network icon. To do this:
a. Point to Settings on the Windows Start menu, and choose Control Panel. This opens the
Control Panel window.
b. In the Control Panel window, double-click the Network icon. This opens the Network
window.
c. In the Network window, click the Configuration tab.
d. If TCP/IP is listed here, simply restart the computer, and the procedure is finished.
e. If TCP/IP is not listed here, click the Add button. This opens a Select Network
Component Type window.
f. In the Network Component Type window, select (highlight) Protocol, and click the Add
button. This will open a Select Network Protocol window.
g. In the Select Network Protocol window, select (highlight) Microsoft in the
Manufacturers column.
h. Select (highlight) TCP/IP in the Network Protocols column, and click OK. This will
close the Select Network Protocol window.
i. Click OK in the Network window.
j. Insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM installation disc (or floppy disk) when prompted.
k. Click No to a series of dialogue boxes that will appear saying there is a version
conflict.
