Quicken 98Back

Why is Billminder saying I have transactions due in a file that I never use?

You may have postdated Cheques or scheduled transactions that are now due in this old file.

Since Billminder looks in all Quicken data files for postdated checks or scheduled transactions that are now due, Billminder reminds you of these things, even in a file you no longer use. To avoid this situation:

Quicken 98/6

  1. Launch Quicken. If no Reminders display on startup, open reminders by clicking the To Do button.

  2. Click on the "Reminders in Other Files" tab.

  3. Locate the first transaction from the file you wish to eliminate.

  4. Hold down the CTRL key and double-click the transaction.

  5. All transactions from the file should disappear.

  6. Repeat as necessary for all inactive files.
