How do I rename the WPR.DAT file if I am having trouble printing?

The WPR.DAT file contains various printer settings, and there are certain situations when you might need to rename it. Once you rename this file it is recreated with all the default printer settings. Follow the directions below to rename the WPR.DAT file.

1. Exit all Intuit products (i.e. Quicken, QuickBooks, QuickInvoice).
2. Open 'File Manager' located in the 'Main' group in program manager.
3. Open the 'Quickenw' directory on the left hand side of File Manager.
4. Click one time on the file named 'WPR.DAT'.
5. Click on 'File' and then 'Rename'.
6. In the 'From' box you should see 'WPR.DAT'; in the 'To' box type 'WPR.OLD'.
7. Click OK, and exit File Manager.
8. Open QuickBooks for Windows.
9. In QuickBooks, go to 'File' => 'Printer Setup' => 'Invoice Printer'.
10. Reconfigure the printer information as it has been reset to the default settings.
11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the remaining printers
