How do I register my copy of Quicken 98?

If you have access to the Internet, then you can use the new online registration facility. This will allow you to register the product in a matter of minutes, then start using all the program's facilities instantly.

You should get a dialog box appear when you first start the program, asking you whether or not you want to register. The ideal situation would be for you to choose this option straight away, but this is not always possible, so we will go through registering manually later on in this document.

  1. If you select 'Yes' to Register Now when the dialog box appears.
  2. You will then be presented with an Internet connection setup wizard.
  3. Click on the next icon to proceed with the connection setup.
  4. The connection wizard will ask you general questions on what Internet settings you have, follow through this wizard answering the questions.
  5. When the wizard is finished, you will be presented with a dialog box describing what is needed from you, the customer. Click the next icon when you are finished reading the dialog box.
  6. You should now be presented with a form that needs to be filled in with all your personal information. The best way to do this is to use the 'tab' key, to tab between the fields.
  7. When you have done this, all you need to do is click on the 'Done' button.
  8. An Icon shows you the progress of the connection process. Once this is done you should have a dialog box appear telling you that the registration was successful.
  9. You are now ready to use all the facilities in Quicken.
