Why do I keep getting "Error 1517: Timeout error" when trying to download with Internet Explorer 4.0 as my browser?
The most likely cause is the installation of a beta version of Internet Explorer 4.0 (IE4). There are two solutions:
Install and use the final release of IE4. This can be downloaded from the Microsoft WebSite.
Although installing the final release of IE4 is the recommended solution, another solution is to
reinstall Dialup Networking from your Windows 95 install disks.
