Portfolio View: Market Value Column is not updating correctly.

The problem is that in the portfolio view, when you have the MktValChq column activated, the price does not update when you download a share price from the Internet. The last price column remains at the latest price on the system, not the previous price, as it is suppose to.

The problem is only shown when you download the share prices from the Internet. When you put a new price in manually, the Portfolio View updates properly. When you download share prices from the Internet, and you find there is no change, you need to edit the price history, which can be done as follows:

  1. Highlight the share in question by clicking on it with the left mouse button.
  2. Click on the Update Prices icon, from above the Portfolio View, and select Edit Price History from the drop down list.
  3. Make a note of the latest price details and delete them from the history, by highlighting them with the mouse button, and selecting the Delete icon.
  4. Click on the New icon, and re-enter the price and date into the appropriate boxes. Now click on OK.
  5. You should now find the Portfolio View has been updated correctly.
