Why can't I work in Quicken while a One Step Update is in progress?

Due to some program changes, working in the Quicken program while performing a One Step Update is no longer possible

Answer: There is a way to perform a One Step Update that may minimize the effect of this programming change.

Scheduled Updates are new in Quicken XG and allow you to select a time and day of the week as well as the items you want to update within your Quicken data file. Once a Scheduled Update has been activated, the Quicken program can update your files even if the program is closed, so long as your computer is running and connected to the Internet.

To configure Scheduled Updates:

• From the Quicken Online menu, choose Scheduled Updates.
• In the Scheduled Updates window, select the items you would like to update and set your update schedule.
• Click OK.
