Quicken 2002, XG, 2004Back

How can I remove unwanted information prior to upgrading to Quicken2004?

Background: Removal of unwanted historical information prior to upgrading

Solution: Dear Sir / Madam,

If you are encountering problems when attempting to update / convert older Quicken data in to either Quicken Money Manager 2004 or Quicken Investor 2004, please follow the enclosed instructions:

Updating from Quicken 2001 onwards in to Money Manager 2004

For Quicken 2001 and onwards, create a copy of the datafile that does not contain Investment data. This can be acheived by using the toolbar File command, selecting File Operations and Copy. The following screen will be displayed (this may vary slightly from version to version):

Check that the file name / path and date range options are valid and ensure that the "Include All Prior Investment Transactions" tickbox is unchecked. Select OK to create the new copy of the file. This file can now be updated / converted in to Investor 2004 format.

Should the above fail to allow you to import / convert your data in to Investor 2004, please contact Quicken Technical Support on 0870 609 0602 for further assistance.

Updating from any Pre-2004 version of Quicken to Investor 2004

For any versions of Quicken prior to 2004 encountering problems when attempting to update in to Investor, please contact Quicken Technical Support on 0870 609 0602.
