What should I do when I get the "Are you sure you want to manually reconcile this transaction?" message in Compare to Register with imported transactions?

Background: When accepting one imported reconciled transaction at a time in the Compare to Register screen, a message will occur asking, "Are you sure you want to manually reconcile (R) this transaction? Warning: Doing so will reset Smart Reconcile for this account."

Solution: Choosing Yes to this message will reset the previously saved statements which allow the re-reconcile feature to track changes made to historical transactions in the register. This is necessary because this historical reconciliation information would no longer be correct after importing reconciled items into the register.

Choosing No will accept the transaction into the register without marking it as Cleared or Reconciled, which does not affect the information contained in prior reconciliations, so the prior statements are not reset.

When selecting either Yes or No, the manually reconcile message will occur for each reconciled transaction contained in the Compare to Register. This can be inconvenient if accepting a large number of reconciled transactions. Choosing Accept All will move all the transactions from the compare to register holding area to the register itself in one step allowing you to avoid seeing this message multiple times.
