Why is data missing after I converted my file?
Background: If the data file from your previous version of Quicken was damaged, the converted file may have missing categories, splits, transactions, or online account information, or reports or transactions that are no longer memorized. Because data is missing, your account balances may also be incorrect.
Solution: The data damage may have been minor, and not noticeable in your previous version, but the conversion process eliminates any damaged data from the file. This results in a converted file that is secure and undamaged, but may have data losses.
If the data losses are too great to manually recreate in the new Quicken data file, you will need to revert to the previous version of Quicken, repair the damaged data, and then convert the file to the new version. To do this:
Uninstall
Install
Restore
Correct
Reinstall
Convert
