Quicken 2002, XG, 2004
Why do I receive the error message "No Valid Records to Import" when attempting to import a .qif file from my financial institution?
Background: Possible Cause: One of the following situations may cause this error message to occur:
The Transactions checkbox has not been selected in the QIF Import window.
The data is being imported into the wrong account (for example, attempting to import a .qif file from an investment account into a checking account).
The format of the .qif file from your financial institution differs from the format accepted by Quicken.
Solution: Answer: To resolve this issue:
Reopen the QIF Import window, if necessary, by choosing Import and then QIF File from the Quicken File menu.
Make sure that the Transactions checkbox is selected and that the correct account has been selected from the Quicken Account to Import into drop-down list.
Click OK. If the message persists, contact your financial institution to verify that the format of their .qif files match those used by Quicken.
Note: Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) is a non-proprietary data format. Although QIF was originally developed by Intuit, and certain Intuit products (including Quicken) is able to import and export .qif files, Intuit does not endorse or provide support for this format. For this reason, Intuit does not know the identities of all institutions and processors that support QIF.
