How do I view the true balance of my bank account when I have Savings Goals transactions within it?

Background: Savings Goals help you create savings by "hiding" money within your real bank account. Your bank balance is reduced in Quicken by the amount of money that is "transferred" to your savings goals account, but your real bank account is not affected.

Solution: To see the true balance of your account, open the register of the bank account and then choose Hide Savings Goals from the Options button.

From the Help menu, choose Index.

On the Index tab, type Savings Goals.

When Savings Goals is selected in the list, click Display.
