This issue can often be resolved by shutting down and then starting the computer. To restart the computer, press the Reset button, or turn the computer off and then on.

If the system still does not respond:

Restart the system in Safe Mode.

From the Microsoft® Windows® Start menu, choose Shut Down.

In the Shut Down window, select Restart, and then click OK or Yes.

As the system is restarting, press and hold down F8 to open the Windows Startup menu.

Use the Up and Down arrow keys to select Safe Mode and then press Enter.

Click OK to the Windows is running in Safe Mode message.

Uninstall Quicken and then restart the computer.

From the Microsoft Windows Start menu, choose Settings, and then choose Control Panel.

Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Select Quicken from the list of installed programs, and then click Add/Remove or Change/Remove.

Install Quicken in safe mode.
